Tips to help you lose 10 pounds

Hello-

Just wanted to share some tips to help you lose 10 pounds:

Eat more fruits and vegetables and try to add as much variety to your diet as possible. Try new things, and new meal ideas. Eat smaller portions and remember that it takes the brain twenty minutes after the food is in the stomach to realize it’s full. Eat slower and make sure you are not full already before you keep on eating. Smaller portions will reduce the risk of overeating and give your brain a chance to catch up with your stomach. Eating healthy and exercise is the key.

Eating foods low on the Glycemic Index can help you lose weight without starving yourself. You’ll also stay fuller longer which will help you avoid snacking on unhealthy foods. Eat six meals a day so you don’t have the urge to binge on junk. Eat the majority of your small meals in the morning, or before 4pm. For dinner, stick to higher protein and vegetable dishes and try to turn off your eating two to three hours before bedtime. If you do feel the stomach pains at night eat a piece of turkey or some walnuts which are high in protein and low in fat.

Exercise needs to become part of your typical day. Exercise can easily add 200-300 calories of calorie burn per day with just 30-40 minutes of exercise. There are several activity calculators online that can give you an idea of what activities meet your lifestyle and pleasure.

Jogging is also preferable for many people because it incorporates exercise in a more interesting way: trying to lose 10 pounds by going to the gym 3 times a week isn’t a whole lot of fun. It will certainly feel like “work” as you count off the minutes of your workout. Jogging, on the other hand, requires nothing but a pair of shoes, and allows you to enjoy some scenery. One of the problems people face when trying to lose 10 pounds is incorporating exercise into their daily routines. You can jog 15 minutes from your house and then turn around and come back and there’s your workout for the day.

Good luck on your quest to lose 10 pounds.

Lose 10 pounds running on a treadmill

Hello-

Many people want to know how much weight you lose running on a treadmill. Here, I’ll try and give you some help with this question.

According to Calorie-Counter.net, you can burn up to 785 calories in one hour on a treadmill:

How Many Calories Burned Using Treadmills

According to a study done by the Medical College of Wisconsin and the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, the average number of calories burned during a 60-minute workout on a treadmill is 785 calories. By comparison, using a Stair Machine burned 690 calories; using a Rowing Machine burned 770 calories; using a Stationary Cycle burned 575 calories and a Cross-country Ski Machine burned 642 calories.

This is just an average though. The number of calories you burn and the amount of weight you can lose is based on a variety of factors. Those factors are: the intensity, duration, gender and your normal metabolism.

The more intense the workout, the more calories burned. If you have a treadmill with an incline, use it and you will burn more calories because you will have to work harder.

You will also burn more calories running instead of walking. Another tip is to keep your hands off the rails. Run like you would normally without holding onto the bars. Pump your arms, add some weights to give you more of a resistance workout as well.

So just as an example, if you burned about 700 calories in one hour and you work out 5 days a week, that would be 3500 calories burned which is equal to one pound. You could lose about a pound a week and lose 10 pounds in 10 weeks. Without pills, without surgery.

Of course, consult your doctor before starting any new workout regimen. :o)

Thanks and have a great day!
