Achieve Weight Loss Success With a Written Plan

By not keeping a written record of your weight loss plan, losing weight is going to be difficult. Your plan needs various aspects to it. A plan should be placed on paper, don't let it just wander around in your brain.

Why you should lose weight is the first step to consider. A lot of people will feel that the answer to this question is obvious. Your motivation will begin to weaken if your reasons to lose weight are not strong enough.

Most people would say that they want to lose weight because they don’t like the way that they look and leave it at that. This is not going to be enough to reach your goals. You need to break this down, if this is your reason. I cannot stress the importance of putting pen to paper.

What is it that you don't like about yourself? What particular areas are you referring to. Is it really because you don't like what you see, or is it because you think others don't like the way you look? Is it because of the types of clothes that wear or don't wear? Does it come between your relationships?

Can you where I am going with this? This exercise is important, regardless how uncomfortable that it may feel. It is vital to get to the cause of the problem before trying to sort out. Just saying that you are not happy with how you look is just a vague sort of statement.

This exercise may leave you feeling a little low. So let's move on. Then move on to writing how you would prefer to see yourself. Again you need to write this down.

What would you like to see yourself wearing? What level of weight would you like to get down to? How big would you like your waist to be? What sort measurements would like to have for the rest of your body. Will there be improvements in your relationships? What could you do after reaching your goals that you can't do now?

Make sure that your answers are well thought through. Some people may think this is a little odd, and will ignore it. By doing this, the way you think about weight loss will begin to change. You will have increased motivation by having targeted goals that you can see.

The reason writing is important is because thoughts on their own are not real physical objects. No doubt you have probably had tens of thousands over the last month or two, but how many of them can you recall? Something that is written down becomes more of a reality. It is there in black and white on paper. It is a route to follow. A route if you like. What we see with our eyes can influence us greatly. Read your plan everyday without fail, and you will start to see differences in your mental processes.

In conclusion the first step in losing weight is to write it down. Without this you will be just like the so many other people. Back where you were in the beginning before long.
