Best Low Calorie Foods to Eat

Lose 2 To 5 Pounds A Week

Would it make you happy to know that most of the foods you are fond of eating actually have their own low calorie counterpart? Okay, so it might not really be exactly the same but it could pass anyway.

Remember that more than just satisfying the palate and the craving for something hearty and rich, there is also a need to consider your diet. Maintaining a healthy diet and a healthy lifestyle could do you good for a long period of time. That is to say, if you tend to always give in to your cravings, you are more likely to fall into the traps of obesity. When this happens, chances are you will find it difficult to control yourself and your weight.

Weight management is important so starting today, or at least the next time you go to the grocery, opt for low calorie foods to include in your list. Don’t ever think that doing this could mean you are preventing yourself from eating “good” food because low calorie foods are one hundred times better not only to the taste but also to the health.

Some of the foods that you enjoy that have their own low calorie counterparts include frozen meals, canned soup, hotdogs, chicken patties, rice cakes, crackers and chips, oatmeal and granola bars, cottage cheese, yogurt, popcorn, jello, breads, spreads, and even beverages.

Most of these products are refined to reduce the calorie content making it healthier to consume without risking its taste. In the case of hotdogs and chicken patties that you can eat side by side with bread or brown rice, these products are created to be fat-free. Yogurt and cheese that are non-fat or low-fat also come with low calorie contents.

Even the usual granola bars that are sweetened have their own low calorie version in the form of oatmeal granola bars. Even if they are slightly sweetened, they do not contain as much sugar and or glucose as the regular granola bars. Not to mention, they are healthy and good to eat most especially to jumpstart your day or for breakfast.

Britney Spears says getting in shape is not fun but it makes you feel good

Dec 01 2008 Published by Lose 10 Pounds under Healthy eating, diet programs, exercise tips

Hello-

Everyone’s favorite child music star Britney Spears is back with a new album that she says is her best and with a slimmer and curvier body:

Credit

Here’s what she says in an interview with Glamour Magazine about working out:

GLAMOUR: You shouldn’t feel guilty about not going to the gym every single day.

BS: It isn’t fun [for me], so to do it every day would be horrible. Three days a week is cool, even two. It makes me feel good and feel like I’ve done something. It’s important to take care of your body.

So you are not the only one who hates working out. It isn’t fun most of the time. But if you stick to it and stay motivated, you can achieve great things and you will have a body you can truly appreciate.

I’ve heard over and over again that you need to focus on the reward and not the process. If you focus on having a slim, firm, sexy body and not on what it takes to get there, you will have a higher chance of success.

Focus on how you will look after you lose 10, 20, 30 or 100 pounds and do not focus on all the workouts you have to do and all the healthy foods you have to eat.

Focus on being happier with your body and having more energy when you get your body where you want it.

Take care of your body and soon you may look like Britney Spears too.

How to Lose 10 Pounds and Keep It Off For Life

Did you notice that as you get older, the slower for you to shed off the pounds? It’s a biological thing. Metabolism slows down with age. What you lose in a week may take you a month five years later. But that doesn’t mean that you have to give up living healthy and just leave everything to chance.

There are few simple rules to live by when it comes to keeping fit and losing unnecessary pounds. Everything in moderation will do you good. Maintain a healthy diet. Exercise regularly. Think positively.

Exercise is a sure way to a leaner, healthy body. So sweat it out according to your body’s capacity. Little things can mean a lot in the long run. Instead of riding the car, do the 15-minute walk to the grocery or work if the weather is fine. While watching TV, do some stretching exercises. Eat slowly and do it often. Eating small meals every 3 to 4 hours is better than having 3 full and heavy meals a day.

For a little effort, add cardio exercises into your everyday routine. Top ten calorie burner exercises are walking, rock climbing, swimming, handball, running, cycling (you can get the same benefit even if you’re using a stationary bike), elliptical training, step aerobics, rowing and cross country skiing. You can combine it with your favorite exercise, better if you alternate it to give your muscles enough time to recover and for better overall body improvement. Get ample sleep and watch what you eat. Soon enough, you will not only lose 10 pounds but lose the inches as well.

5 Tricks to Eat Healthier at Restaurants

Hello-

Most people eat out 2-3 times a week. Not only is it expensive, it’s usually not very healthy. However, I came across this article with tips on eating healthier when you dine out and wanted to share it with you.

Remember, all you have to do to lose 10 pounds in a year is cut out 100 calories a day. If you can cut out a few hundred calories when you dine out, you’ll be on your way.

Here’s the article…

Dining out is a big part of most people’s lives. Maybe you have to eat out frequently because you entertain clients at restaurants. Perhaps you don’t even like eating out. Regardless, if you want to keep a nice fit body, restaurant meals will give you a huge obstacle to overcome. In fact, eating out at restaurants is one of the biggest reasons why so many people fatten up while traveling.

Below, I’ll give you a few very simple tricks you can use to eat healthier and stay lean even while dining out at restaurants…

The 3 most important things to avoid that are everywhere at restaurants are:

* deep fried foods (anything battered that got a scorching bath of trans fats)
* refined starchy foods
* any sodas, juices, or other sugary foods (except whole fruits, which are great)

If you can skip these major culprits, this eliminates the major food sources that do the worst damage in our food supply – trans fats, refined vegetable oils, refined starchy carbohydrates, and processed sugars.

This means you should try to skip the table bread, skip the french fries that come with every single sandwich on every menu known to man, and reduce all of the heaping portions of pasta and rice that are often loaded on the plates as well.

Instead, try to order just meat with side vegetables, and a salad, asking for the vegetables or salad as a substitute for the typical french fries, pasta, or rice, that most restaurant meals usually come with.

Almost every restaurant I have ever been to will always allow me to substitute vegetables or a side salad for the french fries or chips that almost always come with burgers or sandwiches.

On a side note, it always amazes me how many people scrutinize me because I substitute veggies for fries by telling me that I am “not living” because I refuse to eat french fries… are you kidding me! If that’s your idea of “living it up”, you need to get some better hobbies!

Ironically, these are also the first people to complain that they are overweight and have “tried everything”, yet can not lose weight, no matter what. I am not sure why so many people think that eating french fries equals “living it up”… hey, I am all for moderation with many things, but if there are 2 things that should be totally removed from everyone’s diet because these foods are simply that dangerous… it is sodas and fries!

Take a look at the typical difference this simple substitution makes between choosing smart and doing what most people do…

Most people will eat a meal out such as this:

* Burger or sandwich or burger
* chips or fries
* soda or other sweetened drink (and no, diet sodas are NOT healthy!)

A MUCH smarter alternative if you care about your body and health is this simple change:

* Burger or Sandwich
* Salad or veggies
* unsweetened iced tea or water (no diet drinks — unless you like to drink poison!)

These 2 simple substitutions save at least 400 – 900 calories every time you dine out (depending on drink refills and fries portion sizes)… AND you are cutting out the most harmful foods to your body as well by avoiding the evil trans fats and high fructose corn syrup from the fries and soft drinks.

Another side note: a little-known way to eat full portions of pasta, rice, and breads and actually get away with it without packing on the body fat is to make sure to schedule a high intensity full body resistance training workout (can be free weights or body weight training) before your scheduled meal time.

Sometimes it may be hard to fit the workout into your schedule right before the meal, but if you can, the meal can be your “post-workout meal”. After a high intensity resistance training workout, your body can handle a higher amount of carbs than normal to help replenish the muscle glycogen depletion you had during the intense workout.

A typical moderate intensity cardio workout will NOT cut it for this… it must be high intensity resistance training workout to deplete enough muscle glycogen to handle restaurant portions of carbs.

I hope these dining tips help you choose smarter and healthier for a leaner body next time you eat out.

yayFOOD versus Fat Loss 4 Idiots

Hello-

yayFOOD and Fat Loss 4 Idiots both have pros and cons. I’d like to explore both of them here.

To begin with, Fat Loss 4 Idiots is undeniably the more popular of the two. It’s been around a lot longer, and quite frankly is marketed a lot better.

However, does that make it better? Let’s explore:

First of all – when you get inside the member’s area for FL4I, you’re greeted with what looks like 20 or so different pages. These are mini-articles. There’s also a diet generator.

The basic concept of Fat Loss 4 Idiots is that you need to eat the same foods over and over – but they mix and match them so that you’re eating different combinations. You can only eat the same 30 foods over and over. Some examples of these foods are garden salad with dressing, green and red vegetables, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, green beans, fresh grapefruit, and broiled flounder.

When you get inside yayFOOD, the member’s area is quite different.

First, take a look at a before and after photo of the owner of Yayfood – Rachel Rofe:

yayfood Rachel Rolfe before and after weight loss photo

There are calorie calculators, where you type in your height, weight, and exercise level. Depending on your specifics is how they tell you what to eat – which seems to make a lot more sense.

The first benefit of yayFOOD is that you can eat whatever you want – not the boring diet food – although they do give sample meal plans and meal ideas so that you can have some reference. There are even 7 day meal plans that Rachel herself eats. Members add recipes to the Recipe Database all the time, too – so there’s no shortage of variety.

There’s hundreds of articles, reports, and resources for you to use in there.

There’s ongoing support, too – so that you can ask a question whenever you want and get a quick answer.

There’s also a diet goal section where you can put in your weight, and it’ll automatically email your friends and family when you reach goal (if you want). You can also keep a journal, a goal setter, and more.

There’s also much more of a community with yayFOOD.

Overall, yayFOOD has much better value than FL41. The good thing about Fl4I is that it’s a one-time fee, whereas yayFOOD is $19.95 a month. However, since you get so many extra benefits with yayFOOD, it might be well worth it for you. Also, there’s an 8 week no-questions-asked guarantee, so it’s risk free.

Britney Spears and the eat half of everything diet

Hello-

I read in a gossip magazine the other day about how Britney Spears has started working out again and modified her junk food cravings in an attempt to lose 20 pounds.

Here she is looking a little bit slimmer:

Britney Spears looking good on her new diet

One of the things I read was that she was still eating all the junk food shes loves but that she was only eating half of what she ordered. So if you love fast food from Wendy’s or McDonald’s you can order the Big Macs or the Frosty from Wendy’s but just eat half of it.

Let me tell you how I actually did this this past Saturday. I just finished watching my son’s baseball game and was getting some grumblings in my belly and wanted something to eat. I picked up some BBQ from Bill Miller’s and ordered a slice of their delicious pecan pie. If you’ve ever had it, you know it’s a treat. One bite of that rich, crunchy pie crust and savory filling…mmmm

It is so good but I knew it was loaded with calories and not especially a healthy choice. So I only ate half of it. I was able to push the plate away and not eat the rest of it. Go back to a couple years ago and there would be no way that I would have the self control to do that.

It has taken me that long to know that what I eat affects my weight and all the other consequences that entails. But that doesn’t mean you cannot give yourself any treats. You cannot live your life sacrificing all the desserts out there. You cannot live on salads alone. Well, unless you cover it in ranch dressing, bacon bits, and tons of croûtons :o )

So indulge yourself once in a while and just have the self control to only eat half of that delectable treasure.

Have a great day!

Tips to help you lose 10 pounds

Hello-

Just wanted to share some tips to help you lose 10 pounds:

Eat more fruits and vegetables and try to add as much variety to your diet as possible. Try new things, and new meal ideas. Eat smaller portions and remember that it takes the brain twenty minutes after the food is in the stomach to realize it’s full. Eat slower and make sure you are not full already before you keep on eating. Smaller portions will reduce the risk of overeating and give your brain a chance to catch up with your stomach. Eating healthy and exercise is the key.

Eating foods low on the Glycemic Index can help you lose weight without starving yourself. You’ll also stay fuller longer which will help you avoid snacking on unhealthy foods. Eat six meals a day so you don’t have the urge to binge on junk. Eat the majority of your small meals in the morning, or before 4pm. For dinner, stick to higher protein and vegetable dishes and try to turn off your eating two to three hours before bedtime. If you do feel the stomach pains at night eat a piece of turkey or some walnuts which are high in protein and low in fat.

Exercise needs to become part of your typical day. Exercise can easily add 200-300 calories of calorie burn per day with just 30-40 minutes of exercise. There are several activity calculators online that can give you an idea of what activities meet your lifestyle and pleasure.

Jogging is also preferable for many people because it incorporates exercise in a more interesting way: trying to lose 10 pounds by going to the gym 3 times a week isn’t a whole lot of fun. It will certainly feel like “work” as you count off the minutes of your workout. Jogging, on the other hand, requires nothing but a pair of shoes, and allows you to enjoy some scenery. One of the problems people face when trying to lose 10 pounds is incorporating exercise into their daily routines. You can jog 15 minutes from your house and then turn around and come back and there’s your workout for the day.

Good luck on your quest to lose 10 pounds.

10 Idiot proof rules of dieting and fat loss…

Personal question…

When is the last time you looked at yourself in the mirror NAKED and smiled at what you saw??

If it’s been awhile, then I have a second question for you…

What if…

What if there is a “system” of eating that is so different, so revolutionary, so unlike anything else you’ve ever seen…

…that just ELEVEN days from the day you start, you’ll notice a change in your body…

…that has you GRINNING from ear to ear??

Now, I’m not saying you’ll look like Halle Berry in Catwoman, or Brad Pitt in Fight Club.

That might take longer, depending on where you are now.

But I can promise you that you WILL like what you see…

…that you will be NOTICEABLY thinner…

…and that you will be on your way to becoming as FIT and TRIM as you want to be.

That’s the promise of a revolutionary new program called Fat Loss 4 Idiots

Q. “How does Fat Loss 4 Idiots work?”

A. Every time you eat, there are 2 types of hormones released by your brain into your bloodstream. One controls Fat Burning, and
the other one controls Fat Storage.

The foods you eat, and when you eat them, controls how much of each hormone is released.

This diet manipulates those hormones…

…so after each meal your body will produce a greater quantity of Fat Burning Hormones…

…and a much smaller amount of Fat Storing Hormones.

Q. “Will I have to starve on this diet?”

A. Absolutely not. Starving yourself just causes your body to STOP burning fat and start burning muscle.

Instead, you’re actually going to be eating more often than you’re probably used to.

Q. “So I can eat more and weigh less? Can I eat anything?”

Yes, eating more often (in the right way) will result in fat loss.

No, you can’t eat candy or chips or cookies 10 times per day and lose weight (Sorry!)

You must eat the right meals in the right patterns each day.

After 11 days have passed you’ll be slimmer and lighter on the scale.

Q. “Is that all there is to it?”

A. No. The types of foods you eat are important, how often you eat is important, and here’s the crucial key…

This Diet System uses another technique called…

…CALORIE SHIFTING.

You will give your body different types of calories each day…

…which confuses your metabolism and forces FASTER fat loss to happen.

You can read how it works here…

Fast Fat Loss

…on the third page under “Shifting Calories Theory.” It’s totally amazing, I’ve never read anything like it before, but it makes perfect sense.

Q. “Is this diet a one-size-fits-all type of plan?”

A. No. They have an online diet generator which automatically computes everything for you in just seconds.

It gives you the correct daily menu for you each day so that you don’t have to calculate anything while shifting your calories.

Q. “This sounds too wonderful to be true. Is it?”

A. It is pretty great, and it is true.

Try it for yourself. You’re covered by an 8 week money back guarantee, so if for any reason you’re unhappy, you’re not out a
cent.

You risk nothing, and 11 days from now you can be looking and feeling great!
