Have you heard of Russian Kettlebell training?

Hello-

Have you read anything about Russian Kettlebells? I read a short article in Reader’s Digest about Katherine Heigl and she says she gets her body in such great shape with kettlebell training.

She does it 3 times a week for only 20 minutes a day.

Even though I’ve lost about 17 pounds through eating better, I am not in the greatest shape. So I want to lose about another 20 pounds and be close to my high school football weight.

I bought one of these kettlebells at Academy for $55 and I was skeptical.

How could just swinging a 25 or 35 pound kettlebell be one of the best fat burning pieces of equipment you can buy? Why do Russian Special Forces swear by them?

Just do a minute or two of power swings and you will soon realize what all the fuss is about. I was huffing and puffing in less than a minute. The secret is the momentum created by swinging the kettlebell. It’s similar to resistance training.

I was out of breath in a few minutes and my heart was pounding. I had to stop because my thighs and abs were burning. The good kind of burning you get when you know you are really working out.

It wasn’t until the second day after doing kettlebell exercises that I really felt the results of swinging that kettlebell. My thighs were all sore and it felt good. I got a small sense of pride knowing that I was doing something good for my body.

Pretty soon my body will start to look like Katherine Heigl’s. Just without the big boobs! :o )
